People’s Political Party ( PPP ) , Chairman, Hilal Ahmad War has been arrested yesterday while registering a peaceful protest to impress upon the State Administration and Champions of Human Rights to make sure the release of political prisoners of Kashmir including Shabir Ahmad Shah. In a measure that is seen quiet oppressive; the prominent young and dynamic pro-freedom leader, who functions outside the APHC camp, Hilal Ahmad War has been arrested yesterday and landed in Baramulla Jail. Even raising voice for brethren who are facing brute suppression is crushed atmosphere with utmost force.

On March 17th the procession demanding release of prisoners was not tolerated even for five minutes. What is the fun of peace talks in this atmosphere? Freedom of expression should be respected in letter and spirit, if any fruitful dialogue with pro-freedom leadership is to be started. Prominent Leaders like Hilal Ahmad War cannot be tamed by these subversive tactics, but a meaningful dialogue on resolution of Kashmir Dispute should be initiated with these leaders. The visionary leaders like Hilal War can play a role of a facilitator.
