New Delhi, Jul 29 (KMW): Hailing the role of the business sector in the increasing economic growth of the country, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah has said Britain in its Parliament has described India as a nation that is emerging strongly and this was due to the efforts of India's business community.
'' We all know that many countries in the West and Europe were affected due to the great economic contagion that happened in the West but we survived...and now India was referred in British Parliament as a nation that is coming up. It is because of business people of our country,'' Dr Abdullah said during an award function here last evening.
He assured that the Centre will help the business community and he would encourage them to grow.
''I urge our country's businessmen to work harder. The more business grows, the more grows India,'' the former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister said.
Dr Abdullah, who was the Chief Guest at Business Sphere's eighth award function, conferred awards on the organizations, which have shown excellent performance in terms of quality of products/services, growth rate, exports, productivity increase and other
