New Delhi, Jul 14 (KMW): Home Minister P Chidambaram today assured all possible central assistance to states to fight Naxalism, including more helicopters and funds for setting up 400 additional police stations, and urged Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Orissa and West Bengal to create a Unified Command for anti-Naxal operations.
Mr Chidambaram said this while addressing a meeting of Chief Ministers of Left Wing Extremism-affected states chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here to review the situation and finalise the strategy for anti-Naxal operations.
