Bangalore, Apr 17: The third bomb found hear near gate number eight of M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday evening was defused by police.
Bomb diffusion squads, which present on the site, defused the bomb.
In the evening, at least 10 people were wounded when twin bombs exploded outside the stadium, which was packed to witness Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Bangalore and Mumbai teams.
The blasts blew off portions of an outer wall of the stadium,.
Bangalore police commissioner Shankar Bidari said the bomb might have been hidden behind a plastic board.
Bidari, however, said: “there is no reason to panic.”
No one has claimed responsibility for the Bangalore blast.
Police commissioner Bidari said forensic science experts were scouring the area for clues.
Meanwhile, the injured were admitted to the Malya Hospital for medical attention.
Sniffer dogs and bomb squad were pressed into service and examining the stadium walls for more posible bombs, officials said.
Meanwhile, in New Delhi, Union Home Ministry asked other major cities in the country to be on high alert and increase security in key installations. (ANI)
