Jammu, May 29 (KMW): Congress president and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi arrived here today on a whirlwind tour of winter capital city of Jammu and Kashmir.‘’Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand along with State Ministers and senior Congress leaders received Ms Gandhi at the Jammu airport,’’ a police official said. Security was beefed up in Jammu city with strategic deployment of security forces for protection of the leaders.‘ ’Three-tier security arrangements have been made around the venues,’’ a police official said. The Congress president, who is scheduled to inaugurate Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust Complex, would also meet party workers and discuss organizational matters to strengthen the party in the state, sources said. Ms Gandhi had postponed her scheduled visit to the summer capital city Srinagar.
