Sonia Gandhi to visit J&K on May 29

Jammu, May 23 (KMW): UPA Chairperson and Congress president Sonia Gandhi will visit Jammu and Kashmir on May 29, a party spokesman said here today. Ms Gandhi is scheduled to will visit Jammu and Srinagar during her daylong tour, the spokesman told KMW.The UPA Chairperson will inaugurate a tribal cultural center of Gujjars in Jammu and address a ''select gathering'' at a function organized by the nomadic community, the spokesman said. In the afternoon, Ms Gandhi will fly to Srinagar and lay the foundation stone of a colony for the Dal Lake dwellers.The Government had decided to rehabilitate Dal Lake dwellers on the outskirts of Srinagar. About 11,000 Dal dwellers would be shifted out of the lake where they had set up their clusters.In the evening, Ms Gandhi will fly back to New Delhi, the spokesman added.
