Srinagar, Jun 12 (KMW): The Communist Party of India (M) today demanded probe into the killing of Tufail Ahmad Matoo in the downtown. In a statement here, CPI (M) State Secretary Mohammad Yousuf Targami said the assurance of zero tolerance for Human Rights violations must be implemented on the ground. He demanded probe into the incident that took place in Rajouri Kadal yesterday, in which one youth was killed. While expressing deep shock over the incident, he demanded stern action against the erring officials. He said that such incidents were likely to create panic among the common masses resulting in further alienation which will prove disastrous. People alleged that Tufail, a 12th class student was killed when security forces were trying to disperse demonstrators in downtown, while police claimed that he died under mysterious circumstances.
