Srinagar, Aug 14(KMW): Two more youth were shot dead Saturday in police and paramilitary CRPF firing at South Kashmir’s Islamabad and Central Kashmir’s Narbal area taking the death toll to 58 since the unrest began on June 11.
The first killing took place in Islamabad when police and paramilitary CRPF troopers opened fire on protesters near Laizbal this evening.
Eyewitnesses said paramilitary CRPF men and policemen resorted to indiscriminate firing to disperse the protesters killing Irshad Ahmed Latoo son of Muhammad Ramzan Latoo of S K Colony on the spot and injuring four others who were hospitalized.
Another teenager identified as Umar Ahmad Dar (16) was shot dead at Narbal in Srinagar outskirts when police and paramilitary CRPF fired on people who took out evening protest march in the area.
