Srinagar, Aug 5(KMW) : Deeply anguished over the prevailing situation in Kashmir Valley, senior Congress leader Karan Singh today sought opening up of "serious political dialogue" with all parties and groups in the state so that consensus could be found to fulfil "differing aspirations".
Hoping that the cycle of violence will end and "saner counsels" will prevail soon, he said the dialogue process should be started once normalcy is restored in the Valley.
"My heart goes out to the families and dear ones of these young men who have fallen in the prime of their lives," Singh said in a statement.
Singh said the current situation has left "broader political questions regarding the precise position of the Jammu and Kashmir state within India, as well as the differing aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to be considered in depth.
